Apple unveiled a handful of new devices including the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch 2 during its September 7 event; however, the tech firm did not divulge any sort of information regarding its next tablet, the iPad Pro 2.

Without doubt, the iPad Pro 2 is one of the most anticipated devices of the year, but it was surprisingly a no-show at the recently concluded Apple event. This has stirred conversations among gadgets freaks regarding the next-generation iPad Pro 2 tablet's release date, specs and features.

Acclaimed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reportedly revealed that the new iPad will make an appearance sometime next year, and the next installment will boast an array of awe-inspiring features including more apps for the Apple Pencil.

Besides, it will be a comparatively better device for writing and even drawing. It will feature smoother navigation as far as panning, zooming and pinching is concerned, according to ChristianTimes.

Furthermore, the device is slated to receive some radical overhaul. It might even get a brand new variant - the 10.5-inch tablet - which is exclusively designed for education and commercial sectors. It will also get a bigger 12.9 inches variant, according to reports on VineReport.

Under the hood, the purported device is likely to pack the A10X chip which is a significant upgrade from the A9X processor of the 9.7-inch model that may see a price drop later on, becoming a low-cost option eventually. The built-in memory is likely to start at 32GB, MNR Daily reported.

The aforesaid 32GB variant will reportedly be up for grabs for the same price as the 16GB variant. This could also indicate a no-show for the iPad Pro 2 in the coming months.

iPad Pro 2 Release Date

Although these speculations are to be taken with a huge grain of salt, the internal source that spoke to Bloomberg seemed quite sure when stating that the tech firm will upgrade the iPad Pro 2 in 2017. No particular date was revealed.

Unfortunately, this means that Apple will not take the wraps off its MacBook Pro 2016 and iPad Pro 2 at the same time as the much lauded laptop is already slated to be launched this month, according to the same source.
