"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Remastered" will have new and improved visuals when it unveils for Xbox One, PS4 and the PC on Oct. 28. According to reports, the PC users with the DLC copy may get the upgrade for free.

However, "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" is not going to have mod support, based on the announcement made by Bethesda. The game developer has recently confirmed that Sony Interactive Entertainment refuses to approve the user mods the way they should work.

Through a released statement, Bethesda revealed that after months of talks with Sony, the Japan-based company opted not to give approval on the user mods, wherein the players may do anything they want for Elder Scrolls. With that, Bethesda has expressed regrets over this decision, given the time and effort placed on the project, which includes the fans that have been waiting for the mod support.

Nevertheless, Bethesda looks forward to finding ways for the user mods to be made available for the PlayStation users. However, the game developer believes that the "Elder Scrolls'" content for PS4 is unlikely to be available, until Sony lets them give the adequate mod support for the console, Gamenguide reported.

Meanwhile, studio marketing head Pete Hines believes that Elder Scrolls Online will have no impact to the development of Elder Scrolls 6.  However, Hines also revealed that the company has other plans prior to the full development of the game, which means there is likely no final release date to be announced soon.

In his previous statement, the marketing boss confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 will not be included in the two upcoming Gamescon events. This seems to suggest that the studio had been working with two huge projects in the meantime. Hines also gave an update regarding Elder Scrolls Online, which reveals that it is going to run in 4K on the PS4 Pro, Express reported.
