Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to give out a fair competition to its rival, the iPad Air 3. The said device is slated to be revealed during the IFA 2016 that will be held in Germany.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 believed to clash with Apple's iPad Air rather than its iPad Pro version. It is rumored to carry several improvements on its processing chip, screen and storage.

In terms of specs, there seems to be no contest between the Samsung and the Apple devices. The new processing chip of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is suggested to be faster and more powerful with the integration of a Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The iPad Air 3, on the other hand, is expected to be equipped with an A9X chipset with 2GB of RAM and iOS 10, iTech Post reported.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is also rumored to retain the 8-inch screen size of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. Rumor has it that there is a possibility that it would sport an AMOLED screen as well. However, no specific details have been revealed yet as to whether the 9.7-inch version of the device will carry the same display technology.

Meanwhile, since Apple has already released its new iteration of the new iPad Pro series earlier this year, speculations arise that the follow-up iPad Pro 2 will not be launched until next year. This would mean that Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is left to be compared against the upcoming iPad Air 3 this year, PC Advisor reported.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is speculated to carry a base model with 32 GB storage capacity that can be expanded up to 128 GB through the microSD card slot. iPad Air 3, on the other hand, is expected to have a base model of 32 GB storage as well. Both devices are rumored to carry 3 GB of RAM but iPad Air 3 is also speculated to increase its RAM to 4 GB.
