Fans of DC Comics got an unexpected treat when Ben Affleck revealed the villain in his nex solo Batman movie. The big villain is a longtime bad guy in the DC Universe and he will finally be seen in the big screens.

Deathstroke was shown in a video tweeted by the Batman himself, Ben Affleck. He wil be the main antagonist on the Batman solo film that is currently in the making. Deathstroke is named one of the greatest comic book villains and has already encountered the Dark Knight many times in the comic books. The first encounter between Batman and Deathstroke was in 1991 standalone comic book for Deathstroke where the big baddie beat Batman to a pulp, according to The Wrap.

Suspicions already arose earlier when the creator of "Arrow" was asked whether Deathstroke would be back on the TV series. Marc Guggenheim replied that Slade Wilson is currently "tied up" in another project. It seems that the said project was the standalone film for Gotham's Dark Knight: "The Batman".

First created by George Perez and writer Marv Wolfman, Deathstroke appeared as the main antagonist in the 1980 comic book "The New Teen Titans". Slade Wilson a.k.a Deathstroke is a former army colonel who is experimented upon and turned into a super soldier. The enhancement on his senses and reflexes made him into one of the best assassins despite the fact that he lost one eye. His costume is a combination of blue and orange with a mask that has only one eye hole, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Deathstroke might look very familiar to Marvel comic book readers as he looks like the famous mercenary, Deadpool. The real story however, is that Deadpool was created to be a parody of Deathstroke, hence, the many resemblance that they have: the get-up, the name, and the profession. Marvel's Wade Wilson is very much like DC's Slade Wilson.
