Asus Zenfone Max specs review: Design, software and hardware

Asus Zenfone Max has big battery and it is literally a big device. Weighing 202 grams, Zenfone Max comes with 0.42 inch thick. Sporting 5.5 inch screen, 720 x 1280 pixels resolution with disappointing 267 ppi pixel density. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and users get to experience Asus-developed user interface, ZenUI.

Zenfone Max runs Android Lollipop, upgradable to Marshmallow with quad-core Snapdragon 410 and 2 GB of RAM under the hood. Users can choose between 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage. there is a dedicated slot for memory expansion up to 64 GB. The smartphone released last year, gets no fingerprint sensor.

Zenfone Max rear camera sports 13 MP shooter with laser autofocus and dual-LED flash; and selfie camera sports 5 MP shooter. The device comes with huge battery capacity of 5,000 mAh that is able to charge other smartphones using OTG, Android Central wrote.

Both smartphones are meant for heavy use but if you care too much about design and performance, the Redmi Note 3 is clearly the winner. The mid-range phone does give premium quality.

However, if need a smartphone for daily usage and you can live up with standard phone specifications, Zenfone Max is an ideal choice.
