Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in China is not going to have 6GB of RAM, contrary to what was expected. What was supposed to be exclusive to the Chinese market turned out to be no different from the rest of the world.

The China listing shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with only 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the price of 5,988 yuan, equivalent to $897. Rumors have previously circulated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be released with a 6GB of RAM meant only for the Chinese market. With the recent turn of events, fans are reportedly disappointed when the pre-orders for the smartphone was revealed to have only 4GB of RAM.

The listing is found on the official website of Samsung in China showing Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with those specifications for the SIM-free and unlocked version of the phone. Shipments will begin on Sept. 1, Samsung reported.

It is also interesting to note that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is featured in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in China, just like the models in the U.S.. However, it is unlike the Samsung's usual proprietary Exynos chipset that powers all other versions worldwide, GSM Arena reported.

The 4GB of RAM is already notable, but increased demand for 6GB of RAM in devices are caused by other manufacturers releasing such kinds of products. However, for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the hope has not ended as a 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage appeared on Geekbench causing a commotion on China-exclusive versions even though it does not show on the pre-order listing for the country.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage may still appear in the future. However, Samsung is yet to make an official announcement on the smartphone.
