Nvidia has just released GTX 1060 3GB GDDR5 to give you another affordable, powerful graphics card option to choose.

Nvidia's move to release mid-range budget graphics card is said to be a response of last week's RX 480 launch. The company has also claimed that their GTX 1060 is 15 percent faster than RX 480, with less power consumption, too.

This Pascal-based graphics card is claimed as the perfect and affordable choice for high definition games. The lower memory version of GTX 1060 offers lower CUDA cores, 1152. It is loaded with many benefits for gaming, Nvidia reported. And it says the same for the 3GB cards model even with fewer CUDA cores. It's got 1506 mHz base clock, 1708 MHz boost clock.

Many reviews have compared the GTX 1060 graphics card to AMD's Radeon RX 480. Both GPUs are said to compete in the same level. In fact, some of the users noted the video cards' performance 'as better as' the RX 480 8GB when used for playing Rise of The Tomb Raider, News Maritime reported. However, many have also doubted whether the 3GB VRAM would be suitable for various VR gaming since it may requirer bigger memory.

The rants quickly build up after the release. Consumers are apparently doubtful whether the 3GB version could perform as well as the 6GB VRAM despite that claimed performance.

At present, gamers have been satisfied by its 6GB version. When Extreme Tech covered the launch of GTX 1060 3GB, it quickly garnered comments. One of the reader said that the 3GB version is not a sweet deal and people who make the purchase might soon realize their mistake.

The 3GB variant of Nvidia GTX 1060 costs $200. It is $49 cheaper than the 6GB model.
