Xiaomi, a China budget smartphone that overtook Samsung, confirmed will enter the U.S. smartphone. The tech company was reported will unveil Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4 this month.

Hugo Barra, the company's vice president, confirmed that the company will enter the U.S. smartphone market "in the near future" during the interview with Bloomberg.

Barra is a former Googler. He mentioned that the company will use the same tactics it has used to expand in other markets, just like in India. The company's marketing strategy focused on social media.

According to the source, the VP of the company has overseen the Chinese company's international expansion, and has signaled Xiaomi's U.S. debut before.

Xiaomi's Beijing-based company announced the acquisition of nearly 1,500 technology patents from Microsoft Corporation in June. Although Barra said that the company is eyeing to enter to U.S. smartphone market, however, there is no timetable for a U.S. launch yet.

"The U.S. is a very important market for any consumer electronics and lifestyle brand, certainly for us as well. Obviously we've got to time things carefully," he told the publication.

In a recent report, Xiaomi will introduce its new phones. A teaser released by the company, in partnership with China Mobile, reveals they will hold an event on August 25, Thursday, according to Phone Arena.

The publication suspects that the China smartphone maker will unveil Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Xiaomi Redmi 4. In a previous report, a retail box for the phone was leaked online, which includes the features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

According to the leaked details, Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Other details listed on the box are the rear-facing 13MP camera, and the front-facing 5MP camera. It also mentioned that MediaTek Helio X20 chipset will power the phone, carrying a 2GHz deca-core CPU.
