Most of us have ordered from Amazon at one point or another. But did you know that Amazon started in a small room? Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, started with a bachelor's degree in Engineering. Now, according to Rasmussen, he has amassed an estimated net worth of $25 Billion while he has an estimated personal wealth of $66.7 Billion.

Born in 1964, this American tech entrepreneur focused on e-commerce. He is the current CEO of Amazon.com. Amazon is now known as the largest retailer in the world wide web.

Because of his knack in technology, he started exploring trade and commerce. Did you know that he left his high paying job in New York City to start an online retail business? It was in 1994 that he founded Amazon.com. He set up the business in his own garage. He banked on the fact that the United States Supreme Court at the time ruled that mail order catalogs were not required to collect sales taxes if they lack a physical presence.

It was his keen attention to business details that pushed him to create Amazon.com.

This Albuquerque, New Mexico local learned about the mechanics of things at an early age. It was said that when he was a toddler, he tried to dismantle his crib. When he was a young boy, Jeff Bezos attended River Oaks Elementary School in Houston.

He displayed huge interests in science and technology. One story noted that he once created an alarm that would keep his younger siblings out of his room. His family then moved to Miami, Florida. There he enrolled in the Miami Palmetto Senior High School. He involved himself in the Student Science Training Program at the University of Florida. He graduated as the high school's valedictorian.

He then enrolled in Princeton which earned him a degree in Engineering. Bezos graduated summa cum laude from Princeton with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
