Atlantic Records has taken its first step to find the person accountable for leaking the song of "Sucide Squad." The record company issued a subpoena to Reddit, the social site where the song was leaked, and the network site responded.

The record company issued a subpoena over the leak of a single "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots, which is one of the songs of the "Suicide Squad" soundtrack album on July 27. Reddit has responded forcefully, according to Billboard.

Atlantic wants the IP address of the Reddit user who posted a link locker service Dropfile.to, where he or she stored the leaked file. Due to the leak, the record company prompted to rush its marketing campaign for the single.

In the subpoena, the record company writes that whoever responsible for uploading the file, "was in breach of contract and fiduciary duty with and to the company." Reddit's lawyer responded and they said, since Atlantic doesn't know who is responsible for uploading the file online, their claims of breach don't qualify for "pre-action disclosure."

The leaked song is a big deal because "Suicide Squad: The Album" debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200. The collection has earned 182,000 equivalent album, Entertainment Weekly reported.

According to some reports, this album is the first soundtrack to hit No. 1 this year. It has biggest sales opening since "Fifty Shades of Grey" released its soundtrack in February, 2015.

"Suicide Squad: The Album" features popular artists such as Eminem, Skrillex, Grimes,Lil Wayne, Panic! At the Disco, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, and more. Last week, "Suicide Squad" movie garnered $133.7 million sales in the box office, thus, nabbed the highest August opening in the history.

"Suicide Squad: The Album" was released on Aug. 5, which is the same day that the film was released, through Atlantic Records.
