Mariners left-hander Wade Miley made the switch with Ariel Miranda. Although the trade has not been fully approved yet, there is an indication that it will push through.

With money changing between hands, Miley is a sure in. His early life and career started in Hammond, Louisiana. He later grew up in Loranger. He first attended high school in Loranger High and moved on to Southeastern Louisiana where he played college baseball for the Lions.

Wade Miley remembers Loranger when he celebrated the Atlanta Brave's 1995 World series. "We're out in the sticks, and all we could get on TV was TBS," said Wendell Miley, an 18-wheel truck mechanic. "We were all Braves fans and huge Chipper Jones fans. For Wade now to be a teammate of Chipper's at the All-Star Game, well, that'll be pretty special."

Having an early start in his career enabled him to acquire a professional athlete's career. He has registered an ERA+ of 98 across six big league seasons. Currently, he is owed a balance of $6.167 million for 2016 alone. According to CBS, his current contract totals at $8.197 million in 2017.

On the record, Southern Louisiana Lions has had its run of successes. It is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team and is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I.

When Miley moved out of college, he started pitching for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2013. Arizona Diamondbacks scouted MIley in the first round of 2008 Major League Baseball Drafts. Afterwards, he was named the National League Rookie of the month for April '12. Afterwards, he moved on to play with the Boston Red Sox in 2014. Again, there was a change of hands in 2015. Miley started pitching for the Seattle Mariners in December 2015.

Now, Baltimore Orioles is claiming him in exchange for Ariel Miranda.

With Wade Miley's favored off-speed pitch, he has earned a successful run with multiple teams. He was described to be the guy who was "small town" and then became "big time".
