iPad Mini 4 is powered with A8 chip, 2 GB RAM, dual-core 1.5 GHz typhoon, iOS 9 (planned to be upgradable to iOS 10).

iPad Air 2 boasts 2 GB RAM, Apple A8X chipset (planned to be upgradable to iOS 10) and Triple-core 1.5 GHz Typhoon CPU.

A8 received 1.3 times faster processing and 1.6 times faster graphics. As for A8X, it offers 1.4 times faster processing and 2.5 times faster graphics, Tabtimes reported.

Both iPad tablets have these internal memory options to choose: 16/64/128 GB. Both tablets offer same quality on their pair of cameras. 1.2 MP lens for the front camera and 8 MP for the rear camera. It's obvious that taking pictures with large tablet might look silly. Thus, iPad Mini 4 will be a better picture-taking device if this is the case.

iPad Mini 4 is great for those longing for a tablet that fits in their handbags, or sweater pocket. The selling point of iPad Mini 4 is definitely its portability and its smaller screen size. It's what you need on the go.

On the other hand, iPad Air 2 comes with larger screen display but cheaper than those in iPad Pro club. It should be a great option for those budget-concern users who need larger and slimmer tablet for daily productivity given its more powerful specs.
