NFL Cardinals' Rojo Hospitality has managed to win concessions contract. The Pennsylvania-based SMG have also won the facility management contracts after the board turned down bid from Spectra.

The Arizona Sports & Tourism Sports (AZSTA) who owns the venues chose Rojo over Aramark. Rojo will now provide the food service and facilities management for Arizona Cardinals starting from 2021, as reported by Business Daily.

The winning name has been planned to be published before end of May and they did. Rojo and Aramark have been the only two bidders and before the result published, they refused to comment on their proposals, BizJournals reported.

AZSTA also picked new facilities management to run Glendale Stadium. The SMG finally takes a bite to the business after former company, Spectra, operated the stadium's management from 2006. Reaching out for comment, Spectra senior vice president, Todd Glickman, addressed his disappointment to the media but he respected the board's choice, claiming that it was not about the proposed budget. Glickman felt confident that his proposal was 'highly competitive'.

The new management, SMG, has also been serving other stadiums such as New Orleans' Mercedes-Benz Superdome; Tucson Convention Center, and Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena. The deal has been made and SMG will have five years of contract with $1.5 million for capital investment from the service to improve the stadium.

The Rojo Hospitality also put $1.05 million for investment while promising $750,000 revenue to AZSTA. The company also made a similar promise to Centerplate contract which landed them to the job after Aramark failed to win, Sports Business Daily has learned.

Spectra, who is part of the Comcast Corp that manages Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park, will wait for another chance to bid on the venue management contract when opportunity knocks. The Cardinals has not yet made any comment regarding the news.
