PlayStation Plus May 2017 Update: May 2017's Set Of Free Games Revealed, Features Major Franchises [VIDEO]

By

Finally, Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus May 2017 lineup. PlayStation Plus subscribers can download the adventure sci-fi video game "Tales from the Borderlands" and the role-playing video game "Alienation" for PlayStation 4 on May 2.

The "Tales From The Borderlands" video game headlined May 2017's PlayStation 4 offerings. The adventure sci-fi video game was released in late 2014 and the game is a five-part episodic series from Telltale Games. Gamers of the "Tales From The Borderlands" can play the characters, Rhys and Fiona.

The adventure video game, "Abzu," paired the "Tales From The Borderlands." The "Abzu" video game enables a player to explore a variety of deeply detailed ocean environments with an adventure that covers an extensive range. Nevertheless, also included in the PlayStation Plus May 2017 lineup are the "Blood Knights" for PlayStation 3, "Laser Disco Defenders" for PlayStation Vita and Type: Rider for PS Vita, IGN reported.

Nonetheless, the PlayStation Plus free games usually include six video games. But, Sony's Cross Buy feature allows game enthusiasts to have one or two other playable games for their PlayStation 4 console. Meanwhile, PlayStation Plus subscribers still have over a week to grab whatever they may have missed in the PlayStation Plus April 2017 games, Express reported.

In spite of that, all of the six video games are free to download. PlayStation owners must remember that they need to have an active PlayStation Plus subscription in order to download these video games. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also need to keep paying or restart their subscription in order to keep them, even if they downloaded the game for free while they had a PlayStation Plus subscription. That being said, the new PlayStation Plus May 2017 games lineup, which is set to officially launch on May 2 will also be the time that the Japanese tech giant will refresh the PlayStation store.
