Seeking for answers, the humanity later finds that the Wall Rose villagers have turned into Titans. Connie and the military have to swallow the painful truth that his mother is one of the beasts.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 has aired and the first few episodes have given some clues on the fate of humanity. From the first three, fans have learned that the Connie is back to the destroyed village but there is no one in there. Connie has assumed that the beast has savagely killed and eaten the residents but there was no blood stain. The place is quiet and the horses are still alive.

It is an unusual fashion to have such a neat space after a Titan's attack. Connie has learned that his family members are gone but when he looks at his house, there is a monster at the rooftop, which appears to look like his mother. It is an apparent that Connie's mother can no longer be saved and there will be a horrible thing happening, ComicBook reported.

Where have all the villagers gone?

In "Attack on Titan" season 2 episode 4, a few questions will be answered. The villagers could be saving their own lives by running before it came but chances are, they cannot. That brings to an assumption that the Titan has a sneaky plan in mind, perhaps to make Connie falls into trap by taking his mother as hostage; but he finds out that his mother has also turned into a Titan. When the military finds that the whole village is turned into Titans. The troops manage to kill them all except Connie's mother whom they take into custody, Wikia reported.

Later, Eren, Mikasa and Armin help the military to execute the mindless beasts before they wipe out the humanity. According to the Manga readers, "Attack on Titan" season 2 will finally shed light to the dark secret in the basement and what is hidden there will be revealed.
