Xiaomi will introduce Mi Mix successor in a matter of months and the handset is reportedly getting a bigger screen-to-body ratio, up to 93 percent. Mi Mix 2 will also recieve a few upgrades including 2K display.

Mi Mix was introduced with 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and its predecessor seems to be getting a larger display. The bezels in Mi Mix 2 will reportedly get thinner as if the phone is edgeless. The leak suggests that it has a flat display with 6.4-inch size.

There are a few gains under the hood as the Mi Mix 2 will house a Snapdragon 835 chipset and support 2K format. The flagship will come equipped with Android Marshmallow. It will have a 6GB RAM and 4,500 mAh battery capacity, GadgetsNow reported.

Mi Mix 2 will pack 16 MP rear shooter and 8 MP front-facing shooter. The media outlet has also listed May 20 release date. Other components include USB type C, a fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm audio jack.

When it comes to innovative design, Xiaomi seems to be ahead of Samsung and Apple. Even when Mi Mix 2 hasn't been released yet, tech crowds have compared it to the impending Galaxy S8 which is rumored to sport a bezel-less display. A piece of publication from CNET describes Mi Mix 2 as a challenge to Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

Mi Mix 2 isn't the only handset that Xiaomi plans to unveil this year. The leaks and tips have pointed at the premium Mi 6 imminent launch. The handset will have thin bezels design but not as slim as of those on Mi Mix 2. It's also speculated to have an expensive pricing but likely to be cheaper than the next-gen Mi Mix, HitechGazette reported.

The Mi 6 however, will reportedly get 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. Xiaomi remains mum about the leaked images and specs of its upcoming flagships.
