Apple Ends MacBook Air Era In Favor Of Better MacBook Pro 2017 [REPORT]

By

Apple's plan for MacBook Air 2017 has earned mixed opinions on whether the said laptop lineup will be discontinued or make another round in the marketIt is reportedly headlining the Apple laptop revolution. Thus, MacBook Air could be meeting the end of its era this 2017.

The fans response on MacBook Air's 2016 edition has greatly impacted the decision is making. The disappointing receipts and high unit stocked is quite the indication for Apple to step up its game which is investing further time and technology on MacBook Pro 2017, Macrumors reported.

However, the report also noted that there is substantial price mark down on MacBook Air units. For example, Best Buy has made a notable discount on its MacBook Air models last month. This specific circumstance usually hints that a new unit is about to be released which agrees to a rumor that instead of discontinuation, a new MacBook Air is slated to release sometime in between April and May 2017.

Conversely, it seems that fans do not favor the plans for a new MacBook Air due to the criticism it received last year. Note that its 13-inch tier had a massive backlash for having a disappointing 8GB RAM. This incident led the Cupertino-based company to halt the production of its 11-inch model.

Needless to say, MacBook Air 2016's fate has greatly left a bad impression among laptop fans even if it features Intel's Kaby Lake processor, a USB Type-C port, an Apple Pencil trackpad, Touch ID with Force Touch and a Retina Display for the device. Thus, Apple needs to rethink its strategy and focus more on what the customer needs instead of profits.

In the end, MacBook Air's era made a powerful impact on many students and budget-laptop subscribers and if a new MacBook Pro 2017 will come to save face for Apple less is at stake.
