Many students have dreamt of pursuing a career in arts and design, however, some of them lack the confidence in taking their talent to the next level. In fact, many of them wish to take major in college focusing on these fields but question their capability to do it. And that is what the Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan is here for.

The school believes that this can be made possible by means of focused skill-based instruction and mentored practice.

Michael Neville, Coordinator of Pre-College programs at Stamps said that the pre-college programs they run are an excellent preparatory program for high school students who are interested in pursuing college degrees in art and design. He explained that what they do allow students to devote more time in the studio.

The Stamps School is known when it comes to encouraging students to think in new ways and give them the preparation they need by equipping them with the necessary skills for long-term success. According to the school's official website, they are classes they offer focus on drawing for artists and designers, sculpture/3D design and more.

Neville also explained that they aim to help students be prepared for the specific requirements that the Stamps Undergraduate Programs expect from the applicants. They will also get to know the admissions counselors and will be helpful when it comes to giving the students a leg-up.
