Due to the lack of confirmation regarding the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 release dates, recent speculations and rumors claim that Apple Inc. would instead roll out with an update on the iPad range. Along with Apple Pencil 2's possible launch, a noteworthy information about the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 would be made on March 2017.

A refresh in the iPad product line could probably transpire in March 2017, but it's still unconfirmed on whether the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 will be among those that will come out. Nevertheless, a source within the tech company's Asia supply chain claims that the iPad range will have an update and announcement on March 2017. Rumor has it that the iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 rolls out alongside the Apple Pencil 2, Mac World reported.

Nonetheless, both the iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5 are expected to come along with an A9 processor, 3GB to 4GB of RAM. Thus, the devices' speed, processing, graphics and the display's resolution will have some improvements. Some tech experts also speculated that the iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5 will boast a thinner design compared to their predecessors. The iPad Mini 5 will is said to be utilizing a 7000-series aluminum, a feature which is also packed in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Meanwhile, the release date of the new iPad Air 3 might be imminent, as Apple Insider reported that stock of the iPad Air 2 at popular retailers like MacMall and B&H is starting to run out, a sign that Apple's upcoming iPad Air 3 could finally be on the way. Moreover, a select iPad Air 2 models are also sold out on Amazon, Best Buy, and Staples. The Apple Store is also showing cracks with wait times for its online orders.

That being said, the Cupertino based tech company hasn't released its official announcement with the exact iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5 release date.
