Virtual Reality Trading App: A New Breakthrough In Learning More About Foreign Exchange Trading

By

The virtual reality realm has not only taken the gaming world by storm, but also the financial industry - specifically, in trading. Thus, a new breakthrough has been achieved: a virtual reality trading app.

Just a few days ago, Swissquote Bank unveiled their very own virtual reality trading app. Using the latest eye-tracking technology by Fast Trade, users can now explore the trading world - including a 360-degree environment, stocks, shares, and currency pairs -  in virtual reality helmets. According to IBS Intelligence, the trading app also allows users to make decisions and access information. As for Swissquote Bank's clients, they are entitled to log-in to their profiles, view their account status, and trade in real-time through the VR app.

Foreign exchange trading has been around for years, but has never been this known. Back then, most people would think that venturing into trading is just that - a risk. But as more people wish to become financially literate, they now understand the importance of creating an effective strategy first before venturing in the financial market. In other words, Forex trading is not just entirely a risk - but also a test of willpower and wisdom as one takes risks and facing its consequences head-on. Thus, the newly released VR trading app seems to help achieve all these and more.

As reported on VR-Zone however, it is still not clear yet how Swissquote's new breakthrough will affect the industry and what the company is looking to achieve in the long run. Chief Technology Officer Paolo Buzzi has only mentioned that Swissquote is set on leading the financial industry's technological aspect; the VR trading app is an example of their capabilities to achieve this goal. He also added that while using virtual reality helmets for applications is "still marginal," it allows them to take a closer look at their existing applications and think of ways to perfect these.

Swissquote Bank is also looking to make their VR trading app usable for Apple Watch soon.
