"Shades of Blue" season 2 premiere is just around the corner. The 2-minute promo for the first episode hints Jennifer Lopez' character, Detective Harlee Santos, in a big trouble as she tries to cover up her crime.

'Shades of Blue' Season 2 - What Will Happen in Episode 1?

"Shades of Blue" season 2 episode 1 entitled "Unforgiven", will reportedly begin with where the season 1 finale left off. Harlee tries to cover up her ex-boyfriend's murder.

The murder comes after Harlee defends herself from her abusive ex, Miguel. In the released first two minutes of "Shades of Blue" season 2 premiere, Miguel threatens Harlee and tries to rape her. As a result of this act, when he started assaulting her, she holds the man's neck and twist it, killing him in one snap.

As for the official released synopsis (via TV Maze) for "Shades of Blue" season 2 premiere episode, it says:

"Harlee Santos takes drastic measures to cover up the murder of her abusive ex, Miguel. Lieutenant Matt Wozniak makes a deal with FBI Agent Robert Stahl to keep himself and his crew out of jail but soon discovers Stahl has led him into an impossible trap. As the crew deals with the fall-out from the failed heist, Tess struggles to keep her painful gunshot wound under wraps."

Jennifer Lopez, Ray Liotta Talks 'Shades of Blue' Season 2

In an interview with JLo and Ray Liotta (Lieutenant Matt Wozniak) last Television Critics Association, TV Guide noted that both stars hint something big for "Shades of Blu"e season 2.

According to the aforementioned source, JLo reveals what she had in mind when she first had the script of "Shades of Blue" season 2. She admits being "like 'OK! That's what we're doing! We're going there! We're burying the body!'"

JLo even refers"Shades of Blue" season 2 as "A storm is coming". Harlee has been trying to be a better cop and mother for her daughter but with what just happened and with the hanging ties she has in the previous season, this is just the beginning of her complicated journey. "It just doesn't stop" there.

On the other hand, when it comes to Woz, Harlee's boss who she set up last season, he will meet new people that will somewhat be part of him this season. Liotta hints that in "Shades of Blue" season 2, Woz will have a relationship with a woman, Julia Ayres (Anna Gunn).

The showrunners are said to be up to "played down" Woz' sexuality in "Shades of Blue" season 2. Liotta reveals that his relationship with this woman is an "S&M-y. Woz is tri-sexual. He'll try anything."

"Shades of Blue" season 2 episode 1 premieres on March 5.
