Freeform's "Shadowhunters" has found its Sebastian, and it's none other "Game of Thrones" actor Will Tudor. He has been cast to appear as a recurring guest star in the second half of "Shadowhunters" Season 2.

The character of Sebastian has been described as a "charming, brilliant and highly educated Shadowhunter and has unrivaled fighting abilities," Deadline reported. He arrives in the New York Institute to debrief one of the main characters on "Shadowhunters" Season 2.

"He's so good in this part," showrunner Todd Slavkin tells TVLine. Tudor's portrayal of the role has received praise from Slavkin and co-showrunner Darren Swimmer, who describe his performance as "amazing" and "captivating."

Slavkin also revealed that when Tudor auditioned, he used his American accent, but when the creators saw him on "Game of Thrones" and found out that he's from London, they asked him to use his British accent since Sebastian comes from the London Institute instead of the Paris Institute in the books.

He also adds that the show has its own spin on Sebastian, the same way they have done with the other characters and plot points from the Cassandra Clare novel series.

The casting news has delighted many fans, but have also caused confusion as to the extent of the character's role in the series. For one, Sebastian's surname was not revealed during the announcement. In the original Cassandra Clare books, his real name is Sebastian Morgenstern and is actually an older brother of Clary Fray, played by Katherine McNamara.

There is a lot of excitement for Sebastian's debut on the show and it is expected that he would help Clary and Jace get out of their brother-sister awkwardness in "Shadowhunters" Season 2.

Sebastian and Jace have a complicated relationship in the books as they were both part of Valentine's first experiments. While Jace was born with angel blood in his veins, Sebastian had demon blood. One thing they share in common is their upbringing and mixed feelings of loyalty towards Valentine. Interestingly, Tudor and Dominic Sherwood, who plays Jace Wayland on the show, grew up as childhood friends in London in real life.

When Sebastian arrives in the New York Institute, he is expected to befriend a member of the team and that person is likely to be Alec.
