Samsung rollouts January security patch to Galaxy A5 2016 edition. The handset is confirmed getting the OTA update as firmware XXS3BQA6 arrives, according to GSM Arena.

Galaxy A5 2016 comes with Android Lollipop pre-installed but the recent information suggests that it will likely receive a Nougat update this month after a few devices reportedly tested last year.

The security patch distributed by Vodafone in Europe has fixed 67 common vulnerabilities, according to Sammobile. The rollout has also included 28 patches for other Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 comes with Android Lollipop pre-installed with 5.2-inch display sporting Super AMOLED touchscreen. It's got 2 GB of RAM with 16 GB of internal storage and a battery capacity of 2,900 mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active gets security patch update

Meanwhile, AT&T has started to roll out December security patch to Galaxy S6 active handsets with model number G890A. The firmware carrying G890AUCS5CPK4 number brings a few patches with over the air update, as reported by AT&T.

Galaxy S6 Active is a 5.1-inch device with 3 GB of RAM on board. The rugged handset packs Super AMOLED display with 576 ppi - great for outdoor activity. The battery packs 3,500 mAh capacity and the camera pairs 16 MP with 5 MP unit.
