Pokemon fans are as excited as those fans when the game was the first to launch in Summer 2016. On the other hand, Niantic also eyes a major celebratory event coinciding the Lunar New Year in China.

Pokemon GO's first official update for Android users in 2017 has earned major backlash from fans. The said update is expected bring new and important fixes to Pokemon GO. However, what the update brought is simple text fixes, updates specially tailored for Apple Watch and the new account code for GPS Drifting upon playing the game, Daily Star wrote.

Meanwhile, Pokemon GO onlookers have uncovered a secret hidden in the APK code included in the previous update. Reddit users said that this update actually revealed the gender classifications for the Pokemon. They suspect that it has not been noted in the patch notes. The revelation clarified that the differences are noticeable in the slightest form in the Pokemon appearances.

Moreover, the Pokemon GO live has introduced a male and female Pikachu and Raichu. Their gender differences can be spotted by looking at their tails. For example, a female Pikachu a rounded and heart-shaped while the male Pikachu has a square-ended tail. For the Raichu, the female have a rounded tail while male Raichu has a pointy tail.
