By

Sony already released the Android Nougat update to the Xperia X series. Now the attention of the Android Nougat update has turned to Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 series.

It appears that Sony has certified the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat for Sony Xperia Z3+ smartphone, as well as the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z4 Tablet. The Android Nougat update carries the version number from version 32.2.A.5.11 up to 32.3.A.0.372, and the release date of the Android Nougat OS should be very close.

The operating system was certified by the cellular certification company, known as PTCRB. Which basically means that the consumer version of the Android Nougat OS will be released in the coming weeks, if not days, NeuroGadget reported.

The Japanese tech giant had set its targets high on becoming the leader when it comes to launching Android 7.0 Nougat updates. Sony is now updating its 2015 models, while other Android OEMs are launching the OS update to their 2016 flagships. Wherein, the Japanese tech tech company is indeed leading the way.

Nevertheless, the Sony Xperia Z3+ smartphone along with Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z4 Tablet were all launched in 2015. The three Sony devices have the same processor on board, which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC.

While the Xperia Z3+ smartphone is almost the same with Xperia Z5, these two gadgets have a bit of differences to keep them apart. For instance, the Xperia Z5 is packed with a 23MP main camera, while the Sony Xperia Z3+ rolled out with a 20.7MP rear snapper. However, the selfie cameras of the smartphones are the same, according to Nashville Chatter Class.

Nonetheless, the Android Nougat update will come along with a number of features and benefits, such as new and improved animations and features, new manual camera settings, and the new split screen application multitasking mode, Android Headlines reported.
