Serena Williams Marrying Reddit Co-Founder; Both of Them Confirmed News in Social Media

By

Tennis superstar Serena Williams is now engaged with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Both of them confirmed this reports on their social media accounts.

Williams Posted on Reddit

Williams announced her engagement with Ohanian through a Reddit, Tech Crunch reported. The Reddit post started with a hint that they were on their way to Rome where they first met. Then it also talked about kneeling down on one knees and saying four important words, which are definitely "will you marry me" duh.

Ohanian then answered Williams' poem-like post saying that she made him the happiest man on Earth. After both of them shared their engagement through their social media accounts, the Women's Tennis Association posted a photo on Twitter where Ohanian and Williams are together.

Ohanian Replied on Facebook

Besides the two, spokesperson for the co-founder of Reddit also confirmed the new about the two being engaged, CNN reported. The spokesperson said Ohanian popped the question while the couple were in Rome, which coincides with Williams' romantically poetic Reddit post.

Ohanian also posted on his Facebook account that Williams said yes. Both have been rumored to be dating since fall of 2015. Both have been successful in keeping their relationship private, but Williams sometimes post picture of them toether in her Instagram account.

Williams is now training for the upcoming 2017 tennis session. This is crucial for her since she lost the top spot this year against Angelique Kerber of Germany. Williams only need to grab one more rand slam title to overtake Stefi Graf and become the women's player of the pro-game's post-1969 Open Era.

For 2017, the Australian Open will be the initial major competition. Serena Williams has won this tournament for six occasions. But it doesn't mean the tennis superstar will be complacent. She will play for her first competitive outing in Auckland, New Zealand. She will get there on Friday along with her sister Venus.
