The upcoming new episode of "Dragon Ball Super" seems to indicate the possible death of the main protagonist, Son Goku. It has been said that Goku will be assassinated by an infamous Universe 6 assassin, Hit.

While DBS fans are excited by the fact that the anime series will be moving on to a brand new story arc, some DBS fanatics are still hesitant to believe that the anime creators would kill off the main protagonist. In spite of that, speculations swarmed the internet that Hit has apparently been hired to end Goku's life. Gohan, Goten, and Piccolo are expected to witness Goku's death, which will then lead the DBS characters to investigate the assassination and Gohan will seek revenge on whoever ordered the murder.

Meanwhile, other reports have claimed that Goku may not necessarily die yet in episode 71. The leaked episode title of "Dragon Ball Super" suggests that the battle between Goku and Hit may be extended.

Wherein, the leaked title for episode 72 is Counter-attack? An Invisible Assassination Skill, suggesting that the main protagonist of "Dragon Ball Super" may fight back, and Hit may have a difficult time fulfilling his mission. The episode 71 of the anime series is slated to telecast on Dec. 18, MobiPicker reported.

Nevertheless, the battle of Goku and Hit will mark the end of 2016, and it is not a separate arc of the DBS as speculated by fans. Now, the episodes 73 and 74 titles of the anime series have been revealed.

The episode 73 of the anime TV series is dubbed as Gohan Gets Made Into a Movie?!, and the episode is expected to air on Jan. 8, 2017. While the episode 74 of "Dragon Ball Super" is entitled For The Sake of the Which [He] Loves! As stated by the DBS spoiler Herms98, this episode airs on Jan. 15, 2017.
