It's the buzz of the Naruto world. "Naruto Shippuden" is about to go hiatus after dealing with the action-packed episode 487. The Japanese manga series will return in early January to close off Sasuke's arc before going for Shikamaru's story.
Naruto fans will only have two episodes to watch in the remaining weeks of this month. After having episodes 486 and 487, the anime will take a short holiday break and will return in early next year as Saiyan Island reported earlier.
Unfortunately for the fans, there's one big Naruto episode that will not be aired on the last week of December. But, the final chapter of Sasuke's arc, which entitled "Sasuke's Story: Sunrise, Part 5: The Last Man," will be released in the early week of next year, possibly on Jan.5, 2017.
Episode 487 will tackle Sasuke's continued journey and his struggle to protect his loved ones. The last chapter of Sasuke's arc will be released this coming Dec. 22. This will be the final episode for this year.
Upcoming Arc For "Naruto Shippuden To Feature Shikamaru's Story
According to Mobipicker, there are two new arcs that are coming next year. The first of the two new arcs is the "Shikamaru's Story: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness" which is scheduled to be released in the first month of next year. It will feature the story of Shikamaru and how he gained Naruto's trust.
The first arc is said to go after the Fourth Shinobi World War when Kakashi was a hokage. Shikamaru will be sent into the Land of Silence, where Shikamaru will meet a lot of the Enlightened Ones.
In this arc, Shikamaru will encounter and comes face to face with Gengo but the encounter does not go as well as anyone would have believed too. Shikamaru will then start to doubt about Naruto and this will create some issue between Shikamaru and Naruto.
The second arc, "Hidden Leaf's Village Story" has been rumored to be released on the Valentine's Day. It said to feature the upcoming wedding of Naruto and Hinata. The hokage Kakashi will make a key role in this arc, taking full responsibility for making the wedding perfect.
First released on 2007, "Naruto Shippuden" is a Japanese anime series and an ongoing sequel to the original Naruto manga series by Masashi Kishimoto. It was directed by Hayato Date and covers the Naruto manga series from volume 28 on.
