[MAJOR SPOILERS] ‘Star Wars Episode 8’: Rey is an Abandoned Royal Blood

By

With the hype going around "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which is set for release in December 16, speculations and theories about Star Wars episode 8 have been flooding the internet. One of which is how Rey could be a member of a royal family.

This makes sense, since "Rey" is a Spanish word for "King." this mean, Rey could be related to any of the Star Wars royal after all.

Episode 8 Trailer Postponed

The trailer for episode 8 might show scenes that would verify this theory. Most fans are expecting to see the trailer during the release of "Rogue One." There are news, however, that the trailer for the next Star Wars film would be out in the first quarter of 2017, Citizen Oracle reported.

Knights of Ren to Play Big Role

There are also reports that the Knights of Ren, which Kylo Ren is a member of, would have a bigger role to play in episode 8, MNR Daily reported. A lot of fan speculations claim that Rey would train to become a Jedi with Luke Skywalker. And it would be possible that Kylo Ren will be having a duel with both Rey and Luke.

Rey Having Royal Blood

One of the reasons why fans speculate that Rey could have royal blood is the vision she had in the place of Maz Kanata. The vision shows how she was left in Jakku as a young girl. It also shows Luke Skywalker, The Knights of Ren, and even the voice of Obi-One Kenobi.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" doesn't show Rey's origin, which is why fan theories are all over the internet, ever since the release of the movie.

Some speculate that she is Luke Skywalker's daughter, and he had to leave her in Jakku for protection. Others believe that she is part of a Royal Family among one of the many planets in the universe and that family was supposedly massacred by the First Order.
