‘One Punch Man’ Season 2 Spoilers: Saitama’s Villainy, Lord Boros Returns, Battles Amai Mask; Anime Is Deviating From Manga? [VIDEO]

By

"One Punch Man" Season 2 will be featuring the clash of Saitama and Amai Mask as one of the season's highlights. However, fans are not too happy that the animé will be deviating from its Manga storyline, which it has carefully followed for "One Punch Man" Season 1.

There have been too many rumors about "One Punch Man" Season 2, which reveals the transition of Saitama into a super-villain, the return of old nemesis like Lord Boros, and the introduction of new ones like Amai and Metal Knight.

Saitama as Super-Villain

The transformation of Saitama into a villain may be explained by two separate events. One is that Saitama will be disgusted with a group of people who will turn against him. The other involves a love triangle between Saitama and two sisters, namely Class S-Hero Tatsumaki and Class B-Hero Fubuki. The rumor did not elaborate how, but suffice it to say, the turn of events turned awry, which compelled Saitama to turn villainous.

The Return of Lord Boros

"One Punch Man" Season 1 ended in the stunning battle between Saitama and Lord Boros, which sealed the show's popularity and set high expectations for "One Punch Man" Season 2. This time, Lord Boros has acquired new powers and is now ready to take on Saitama.

The Introduction of New Nemesis

New opponents will face off Saitama as hinted by creator Yusuke Murata, Sportrageous reported. These opponents are more likely Amai Mask and Metal Knight with Amai Mask battling Saitama as one of the highlights in "One Punch Man" Season 2.

However, this particular story arc deviates from the Manga storylines, which the previous season has diligently followed as reported in HNGN. One of the strength of "One Punch Man" is that it stays true to its roots and any liberties taken with the plot is not well received by fans.

For now, fans can only wait and see what the 19 new episodes will reveal. "One Punch Man" Season 2 may be released by mid-year 2017.
