Social news aggregator Reddit is extending its presence in the iPad platform, which was confirmed after the official Reddit update 2.0 for iOS was recently released. The new update's main feature is the support for the service on the iPad.

In April, the much awaited integration of the service to the mobile platform came about. With various iOS and Android platforms enjoying Reddit, the Apple's iPad seemed left out until today. Unfortunately, there are no other special features mentioned about the Reddit on iPad. Other than the conventional Reddit coming to the platform, users say, it's a bit weird seeing website on the iPad.

Alien Blue, a third party app that made it possible for Reddit to collaborate with the mobile platform, surprisingly left out the iPad version of Reddit. According to the 9to5Mac, the absence of Reddit on the specific platform was surprising, in the sense that Reddit on iPad had specific version at the time.

In 2014, Reddit acquired Alien Blue to help the service integrate to mobile. Since then, the service has been enjoyed by many users while on the run. iPad owners, after the latest update will now have the chance to fully experience Reddit in the platform.
