The competition on the new gaming platform - Virtual Reality (VR) - is escalating, and developers are moving forward to advertise who's the best. Today, HTC took another step forward by saying that they planned on creating several VR Arcades just so players can try out the new platform. Of course, the proposition will entirely cater their homegrown VR, the HTC Vive.

According to NDTV, the Taiwanese tech giant HTC plans on completing the hundred arcades by the end of 2017, all made possible under the Viveport Arcade Programme. Regions included in HTCs promotional arcades include Europe, China and Taiwan; however, the said program will primarily launch in Taiwan and China before it heads to other regions.

There haven't been significant titles included in the HTC Vive, by news reveal that the company is continuously working on adding more games to the platform. Currently, according to Upload, the VR platform has games titled "A Chair in a Room: Greenwater," "Battle Dome," "Vanishing Realms," "Raw Data" and "The Brookhaven Experiment."

Just last week, HTC opened a virtual reality centre in Taipei. The aim for its creation is to let players try the HTC Vive for the first before they decide on buying it. The cost for trying the VR platform ranges from $5 to $13. The company's next target however, are the hundreds of internet cafes in China.

The HTC Vive is a new milestone for the popular mobile phone maker. HTC is known for their great mobile designs and now, the company has joined the craze and invested on the new gaming platform; virtual reality. The HTC Vive currently competes against the Oculus Rift, the PlayStation VR and Gear VR.
