‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Season 3 Update: Upcoming Season Presents Darker Psychological Story [VIDEO]

By

Creators of the "Tokyo Ghoul" series promised that upcoming third installment will be unlike the previous seasons. They warned the characters will be presented in a much darker light.

Darkest Season So Far

"Tokyo Ghoul" scriptwriters claimed that the upcoming season will have the most psychologically disturbing episodes yet, according to Anime Maru. The scenes are so sensitive that they might be censored for younger viewers. The sudden change in the plot is probably due to the fact that Madhouse is now in charge of the upcoming season instead of Studio Pierrot, according to Otakukart. The former is known for creating anime which ventures into really some dark themes.

Fans are also curious about main characters of the series. Season 3 will reportedly continue the storyline from season 1. The second installment pursued another story arc which caused some uproar with many of the show's fans.

Touka Kirishima - Is She Going To College?

Fans of Touka will be glad to know that she will share in some major spotlight in the upcoming season 3. There also some speculations whether the heroine would have a new white hairstyle. However, the show's creators were not willing to reveal that piece of information just yet.

Meanwhile, Touka is applying in three different Universities. But, it seems she has no chance of getting inside with any of them. Either the exams are too hard for her or its too dangerous for her kind. To compensate for her inability to pass the entrance exams, she decided to set up a café. She hopes her business skill will convince one of the Universities to take her in. In the storyline, Ghouls like her are finding it difficult to enter college, exams are a killer and so are the discriminations.

Another "Tokyo Ghoul" main character, Ken Kaneki apparently suffered from amnesia and had picked a new name, Haise Sasaki. He will work as Ghoul investigator, despite being a half-ghoul himself. Whether he will remember his name or past life will be tackled in the upcoming season.
