"Sense8" is a story about a group of people from around the world and from different cultures where they suddenly find that they are connected to each other - mentally, emotionally, and sensually. They must find out the purpose of this connection while avoiding a group aimed at hunting them down.

Rumors of "Sense8" Season 2 cancellation have been doing the rounds for a time. This is primarily maybe due to the fact that no news of when Season 2 will be aired has been announced. Add to the fact that the showrunners and actors are mum about the project.

According to Movie Pilot, the production is underway but rumors abound that the Netflix original series might be pulled even before it airs its second Season, citing hard times during the hiatus after the "Sense8" Season 1. One of the actors being recast but the leaving of one of the Wachowiski sisters from the production might be the biggest factor.

Reports from Aussie Network News says another possible reason is the addition to the cast of Sikander Kher playing a new villain. Sources say Kher is demanding a lot from the production putting work in a crisis. But if indeed the show will be canceled, it might be because of production cost.

"Sense8" follows the stories of 8 individuals scattered in different parts of the world, therefore it would involve shooting in different locations in different countries. The production has already been in Los Angeles, Brazil, Chicago, and Malta.

However, the cast as of late has been teasing fans with updates concerning the second season, confirming that the production of "Sense8" Season 2 is well underway. The production reportedly has already shot scenes in Seoul (South Korea), Mumbai (India), Reykjavik (Iceland), and Mexico City.

Rumors also abound of an airing of a special episode said to be shown for the Christmas 2016. Other pertinent details are still unavailable as of this writing. This should be enough to dispel all rumors "Sense8" will be pulled even before Season 2 gets aired.

The show is expected to return to our screens early 2017. Fans of the series can now breathe a sigh of relief.
