Google Nexus 7 Release Update: Launch To Come With Adromeda OS Out Of The Box? Nexus 9 Non-Availability Hints Very Soon Release [VIDEO]

Google Nexus 7 was not revealed during the release of the new Google Pixel phones. Rumor has it that Google will still release its next generation Huawei-manufactured tablet this year. The device is slated to come with the Andromeda OS, while its predecessors are getting the new Android 7.0 Nougat OS update.

The Google Pixel event on Oct. 4 focused on the new Google Pixel phones. Rumor has it that Google Nexus 7 will be launched alongside the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL smartphones but the tablet was nowhere to be seen in the event. The tech giant kept mum about the release date or specs of the upcoming advice.

In the meantime, reports claim that the HTC-made Nexus 9 is no longer available on the Google store. Rumor has it that the tech giant is making room to set up the stage for Google Nexus 7 in 2016; however, there are also rumors that the tablet may not roll out with the Nexus brand. Apparently, Google has ceased the brand name and the tablet is speculated to roll out as Google Pixel 7 or Google Pixel tablet, Neurogadget reported.

Reports have surfaced claiming Google is planning on releasing a new tablet before the year ends, The Verge reported. The device is speculated to run on Andromeda OS instead of the Android Nougat. The latest OS joins Chrome OS with Android that is equipped with new desktop features. In addition, the device is said to sport a 7 inch AMOLED display that will run on Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530.

Meanwhile, the Google Nexus 7's predecessor, the Google Nexus 6, was launched with the new Android 7.0 Nougat. Additionally, Google previously announced that it would add Nougat to its older Nexus gadgets but the release of the said update has reportedly been delayed for over a month.

The Google Nexus 7, on the other hand, would not receive the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update as it is already rumored to roll out with the Andromeda OS. The older Nexus 5 is also said to miss out on the OS update.  The Android 7.0 Nougat was released prior to the Google Pixel phones that rolled out with the OS update straight out of the box.
