iPad Mini 5, iPad Pro 2: All 'Pro' Features, Specs, Sizes; What to Expect in 2017 Release? [RUMOR]

By

iPad Mini 4 was updated in 2015. Since then, Apple has no word of the new iteration. However, if rumors are true, the fans should not wait any longer as the most-awaited mini tablet will arrive next year.

Apple rumor: iPad Mini with its killer Pro features

If iPad Mini Pro or iPad Mini 5 wants to be the fan-favorite, the 7.9 inch screen should get smoother navigation as professionals might have a few work and social apps opened altogether. In addition to an improved processor, Apple might integrate the iPad Mini Pro with professional apps to do everything better. A 3D Touch pressure-sensitive screen should get a more premium chassis, 7000-series aluminum that makes it more durable and noticeably thinner with lower battery capacity, Macworld reported.

To get the job done faster, Apple should also make the keyboards more tactile. Last but not least, keeping the headphone jack in place.

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 new variants and features

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said before that Apple will launch three new iPad Pro tablets, starting from 12.9-inch, 7.9-inch and a new 10.5-inch that replaces the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. A new leak by Macotacara corroborates Kuo's analysis by saying that iPad Pro will launch 10.1 inch tablet variant, Mashable reported.

Kuo goes on to say that the 10.5 inch iPad Pro will target commercial and educational sectors. With that being said, the next iPad Pro is likely more professional as Bloomberg noted that Apple will upgrade its Pro tablets with improved Apple Pencil and faster display technology.

The previous leaked benchmark of A10X chip seems to also corroborate the rumor that iPad Pro tablets will be much more powerful, University Herald wrote. Kuo has said that the bigger variants of iPad Pro will get A10X chip whilst the Mini Pro will be a low-end device sporting A9X chip.

Both iPad Mini 5 and iPad Pro 2 are expected to arrive in March 2017.
