Apple Releasing Three New Versions Of iPad Pro Next Spring, Could Add 7.9-Inch Model To The iPad Pro Lineup [VIDEO]

By

Apple's iPad doesn't get inevitable yearly updates just like the iPhone, which means tech fans are usually guessing as to when the Cupertino-based company will refresh its line of tablets. Apple plans to release three iPad Pro models in spring 2017, which includes a new 7.9-inch model, along with the updates to the 9.7-inch and 10.1-inch models.

It has been said that the new 7.9-inch Pro model will have a distinctive attribute of four speakers and a Smart Connector, same as the current line of iPad Pros previously updated in March, according to Mac Otakara.

Presumably, the small iPad Pro will be available with an Apple Pencil support. similar to the rest of the lineup. The device is expected to replace the iPad Mini 4 currently offered.

All three iPad Pro models are said to have the headphone jack, which was ditched from the iPhone lineup in favor of wireless Apple EarPods. The 12.9-inch Pro 2 will carry a 12-MP camera with True Tone flash, ZDNET reported.

However, there are no specific launch timeline and pricing for the new tablets as of now.

Anyway, the recent report of Apple's iPad lineup mostly corroborates Ming-Chi Kuo (an analyst for KGI Securities), who previously said that the tech company is planning to release three new iPads in 2017, Mac Rumors reported.

Rumor has it that the iPad mini could be terminated of its line due to the tech company's focus on its larger tablet lineup, and the credence that the 5.5-inch iPhone Plus models have helped diminish the demand for Apple's smallest tablet.

Nevertheless, Kuo expects that the sales of iPad will continue to fall 10 to 20 percent, as the tech company has seen sales decline across its iPad lineup. The analyst for KGI Securities said that Apple could bring big changes to the iPad lineup in 2018.
