Samsung Galaxy Note 7 News & Update: 1 Million Customers Now Using Safe Note 7 Units; Galaxy Note 8 Specs And Features

By

On a daily basis, Samsung is giving the latest information about Galaxy Note 7 exchange program. The South Korean tech giant made it known that 57 percent of customers exchanged their Note 7 smartphones in Europe, while earlier this week, the tech company stated that more than 60 percent of customers in the United States did the same thing.

A new update by the tech giant indicates that around 1 million customers around the world are now using the safe Galaxy Note 7 replacements the company started to roll out last week. Among those customers are 150,000 Chinese who use the new, safe Note 7 smartphones, according to Phone Arena.

Samsung assures tech fans that they will investigate each complaint coming from Chinese customers who affirm their supposedly safe Note 7 smartphones are overheating or the batteries are rapidly draining. Samsung also states that the few cases it has already looked into do not suggest that the Note 7 battery is at fault for any of the exploding Note 7 replacements.

However, at this rate, the tech monster should have most Galaxy Note 7 devices exchanged fairly soon, which means tech fans will hopefully stop seeing reports of the smartphones catching fire and causing damage, based on the report of Kit Guru.

The South Korean tech company will resume Galaxy Note 7 sales in South Korea starting October 1 after completing the exchange program in the country. The Galaxy Note 7 won't go on sale in other countries such as North America and Europe until late October or early November.

On the other hand, Samsung is planning to include a speaker system in the Galaxy Note 8's S Pen that will work differently depending on how the S Pen is positioned.

For instance, if the S Pen is docked inside the device, the sound will be released from the bottom of the stylus, but, when the Galaxy Note 8 is being used, the sound will be coming out through an opening in its shaft, Patently Mobile reported.
