The news and headlines across Android's world poured on Galaxy Note 7 battery issue, the financial damage of the smartphone to Samsung, how the Galaxy S8 can save the South Korean tech company. The Android roundup also includes Blackberry improves security with Zimperium, and the latest report regarding the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

Earlier this month, the South Korean tech giant recalled all the Note 7 smartphones with battery issues. Samsung claims about half of the recalled smartphones have been returned in the United States, based on the report of CNET.

Samsung made it known that their engineers rushed to determine the cause of the Galaxy Note 7 battery problem. The tech company's complete explanations so far have come in reports to government agencies in the United States, as well as in Korea and China, according to Forbes.

Tech analysts in South Korea believe that Samsung will mark a decline of 8.6 percent in its operating profit.

As the Galaxy Note 7 seems to salvage whatever the phone can in terms of the company's sales, Samsung will be looking towards the Galaxy S8. More details on the Galaxy S8 smartphone were discovered this week, which includes the idea of a massive 4K resolution screen, as well as the aforementioned dual-lens camera of the device and potentially ditching the 3.5 mm headphone jack for USB-C.

However, as the Galaxy Note 7 became an awkward distraction, the quicker Galaxy S8 will reach the market the better.

On the other hand, as Google is gearing up to announce Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones on October 4, the smartphones won't be called Google Nexus anymore. Google is taking on the branding of Pixel which was used earlier with the tech company's Chromebook and Android tablet. As Google utilizes the Pixel branding, the tech monster is also emphasizing on the future of Made By Google products, Indian Express reported.

In addition, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus during the tech company's special event on September 7, according to Mac World.
