‘Google Nexus 2016’ Phones Updates: Will Pixel Phones Surpass its Highly Commendable Predecessor – Nexus 6P?

HTC Nexus 6P is the highly commendable smartphone of 2015 where the most notable feature is the smartphone's camera. Google is heading towards the launching of Pixel phones (nee "Google Nexus 2016") in October 24 as the confirmed date. Will the most talked-about android smartphones surpass the performance of its predecessor Nexus 6P?

"Google Nexus 2016" phones specs are expected to beat the Nexus 6P. But in any case, how does Google intend to surpass the performance of the highly commendable phone of 2015 with Pixel phones? The following comparison will highlight the advantages of two smartphones from each other.

Design

Rumors suggested that camera bump is nowhere to be seen in Pixel XL unlike the Huawei Nexus 6P. A fingerprint sensor on the rear and speakers at the bottom are also among the rumored inclusions in the smartphone according to The Bit Bag.

Display

A 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution (with a pixel density of 534ppi) is expected from Pixel phones. Whereas, Nexus 6P is sporting a 5.7-inches built with AMOLED technology and has a QUAD HD resolution (with a pixel density of 518ppi). What's notable with Nexus 6P is the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 as a screen protector.

Camera               

 "Google Nexus 2016" phones camera are said to come with a 12 MP rear and 8 MP front. The spec is quite lower than Nexus 6P where camera has a dual-flash 12.3 MP rear and 8 MP for the front. What makes it powerful is the IR-laser autofocus according to Pocket-Lint.

Hardware

Pixel phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset alongside 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 128GB of internal storage. The battery capacity of 3,450 mAh and USB Type-C are also expected from "Google Nexus 2016" phones. On the other hand, Nexus 6P is run by Snapdragon 810 (lower than Pixel phones), 3GB of RAM and the same battery capacity.

Software

Nexus 2016 phones are recipient of Android 7.0 Nougat where users need not to do a lot of digging around because the new mobile OS made it easier. Nexus 6P is powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but can be updated to Nougat depending on the user's preference.
