Microsoft released a new build for the "Xbox One" System Software Update. The new build software includes "Cortana" and backward compatibility, according to the new reports.

A new build for the Xbox One System Software Update has been released by the software giant "Microsoft."  A new version called rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160824-1140 can be accessed by Preview Program members, IB Times reported.

As was seen by DualShockers, "Cortana" will be available in more countries in the new update, which includes France, Italy, Spain and Germany. Users in the mentioned locations will just need to turn on Cortana in their respective Settings and approve the terms to enable the new addition.

Xbox One users can start Cortana either from My Games & Apps or from the Guide function. Players can still choose not to use the new Cortana feature, and revert back to the Xbox Legacy Voice Commands.

Two new fixes will also be included in the Xbox One System Software update, according to Melody In Trance  The error that causes trial games to be accessible for more or less of the fixed amount of time has been corrected. The issue of system updates failing while being applied has also been fixed.

The new update will still be available for Non-Xbox One Preview Program members down the line. Backward compatibility has now been addressed with a list of backward compatible games. Xbox One users can now get some Xbox 360 games playable on the "Xbox One."

In an announcement through twitter by Major Nelson, the classic 1982 game titled, "Joust" is now playable on the latest Xbox console for users who own a copy of the original game. The concept of Joust is player will have the ability to play as a lance-wielding knight that ride a flying ostrich. It sounds simplistic by today's standards, but it was revolutionary back when it was released. The core of the games mechanics also sounds simple, but the adding in the factor of defeating several waves of enemies in online and local gameplay mode using wo-player support will be a whole different kind of awesome.
