Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Equipped With The Best Display, Says DisplayMate; Samsung’s New 5.7-Inch Phablet Launches In India Today!

By

Consumers looking for top-notch display quality in a smartphone, rejoice! A recent report dubs display for the impending Samsung Galaxy Note 7 as the absolute best in the market.

Zealous smartphone fanatics are going berserk over Samsung Galaxy Note 7 thanks to DisplayMate, a company popular for its ironclad display testing techniques.

The company is cited as the final word as far as quality of displays is concerned, and they've evaluated the Samsung Galaxy Note 7's QHD Super AMOLED display as the absolute best in the smartphone realm.

DisplayMate ran a slew of tests on the phone to confirm it boasts the best display a smartphone has to offer in the existing market.

Slated to hit the store shelves on August 19, the Note 7 is the South Korean tech firm's latest phablet, geared with a 5.7-inch, 2,560x1,440 pixel Quad-HD Super AMOLED screen. The device sports a curved screen that bends around the corner of both sides. The curved edges can be viewed and also controlled from the front or the sides.

The screen quality grabbed the attention of DisplayMate President Raymond Soneira, who checked and ranked it for Technology Shoot-Out released Tuesday, August 9.

Smartphone buyers ideally look at an array of feature when choosing a smartphone, however ignore screen quality when in fact, it should be the top of the list.

The screen quality of a phone is critical because it determines photo, graphic appearance and text readability, and the ability to function effortlessly in less-than-favorable condition such as bright sunlight.

While testing the Note 7's display, Soneira discovered a slew of awe-inspiring features: For instance, most smartphones and tablets comes with a single color mode that cannot be changed, however the Note 7 offers an impressive four color modes that can be controlled by the user. Also, the Note 7 can display the latest high-end 4K video via the AMOLED Cinema mode, CNet reported.

But that's not all; the Note 7 also features a 5 MP front shooter with aperture f/1.7.

In other news, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is all set to launch in India today, however its likely to hit the store shelves on August 19 along with the rest of the world, BGR reported.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 Price

If rumors doing rounds are anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 will be up for grabs for Rs. 60,000 (about $898). However, the popular smartphone maker has opted to remain mum regarding these speculations and has neither confirmed nor denied them.

Until Samsung officially confirms the price and specs, those waiting with bated breath for the Note 7 are advised to take these rumors with a grain of salt.
