Although the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is just days away from its speculated August 2 release date, rumor mills have not ceased churning speculations surrounding the much-awaited smartphone, hinting an array of awe-inspiring features it is expected to boast.

One of the key features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be its cutting-edge iris scanner. A recently-surfaced video confirms the heavily rumored feature is real based. In the video, the iris scanner is selected as a method of unlocking the phone.

The video starts out showing the lock screen of the smartphone and giving a glimpse of its pattern unlock feature, aside from to the aforementioned iris scanner.

In addition, a couple of screenshots showing how the feature works have leaked too.

Samsung recommends the iris scanner shouldn't be used on babies and those wearing glasses or contact lenses. The company advices to maintain a distance of 25-35cm for optimum performance of the iris scanner, GSM Arena reported.

Aside from showing how fast the iris scanner unlocks, the video also shows the updated TouchWiz "Grace UX," and also confirms its 4 GB of RAM and not 6 GB as speculated.

The phablet packs a mammoth 64 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD expansion slot.

It will boast a 12 MP rear camera with OIS, phase detection autofocus in addition to other slew of tricks, and a 5 MP front shooter for selfie addicts.
