Gionee M6 and M6 Plus has just been announced. The smartphones come with impressive specs and built-in data encryption chip to ensure all communications are secured.

Gionee M6 specs

Gionee M6 variant runs Android Marshmallow based, Amigo 3.5 OS. The 5.5 inch (152.3 x 75.3 x 8.2 mm) Amoled screen offers 1920x1080 resolutions with pixel density of 401ppi. The device sports 13 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera (single flashlight).

Gionee M6 is equipped with 1.8 GHz octa-core processor and 4GB RAM with 64 GB/128 GB internal storage options.

Gionee M6 Plus specs

The M6 Plus variant has slightly higher specs with 2.0GHz octa-core processor under the hood. 4 GB of RAM paired with storage options of 64GB/128 GB (expandable). M6 Plus sports 6-inch (160.5 x 80.6 x 8.2mm) full HD Amoled screen with resolutions of 1920x1080 pixels). It's packed with 16 MP of rear camera (dual LED flash) and 8 MP front camera.

Both Marathon series feature FM radio, GPS, dual band WLAN and Bluetooth 4.0.

Gionee M6, M6 Plus massive battery and special feature

Gionee M6 variant has massive battery of 5,000 mAh which can be fully charged in two hours. The Plus model needs a little bit longer than that since it's packed with 6020 mAh battery cell. The smartphones are able to be used as charger for other devices as they also feature adjustable charging current. So, no more overheating.

Gionee equips the devices with advanced data protection. The encryption chip is paired with Private Vault 2.0 - enabling full protection for all contents, apps and contacts. GSMArena stated that the device provides 10 layers of protection for all the sensitive data you have.

Gionee Marathon series M6, M6 Plus price

Gionee M6 64GB variant is sold at CNY 2,699 or approximately Rs. 27,200. The 128 Gb variant is priced at CNY 2,899 or approximately Rs. 29,200, Firstpost reported

Gionee M6 Plus 64 GB costs CNY 2,999 or approximately Rs. 30,200. And the 128 GB model costs CNY 3,199 or approximately Rs. 32,200.

Gionee M6, M6 Plus release date

Gionee M6 will debut in China on August 6 whilst M6 Plus will be available on August 13.
