MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Specs And News: Apple Planning To Shelve The MacBook Air Lineup Entirely?

As far as MacBooks are concerned, Apple has a declining sales rep in the market by an alarming 8.3% and this could be because fans are waiting with bated breath for debut of Macbook Pro 2016 this October. Geared with cutting-edge innovations, the highly-anticipated laptop is expected to propel the Cupertino-based tech firm right to the top of the market sales.

Rumor mills have been swirling speculations hinting Apple has experienced a considerable decline in its sales of laptop computers. However, the decline was not experienced in performance of the company's smartphones and other mobile devices.

This is something, a slew of reports indicate that the MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to deal with, becoming the company's sole flagship, GameNGuide reported.

Apparently, these speculations are not quite baseless.

The fact that Apple has not rolled out any sort of updates for the MacBook Air since 2015 seems to be one of the most obvious indication. As expected, this move stirred conversations among avid MacBook fans who believed Apple has suspended the lineup entirely.

That said, there are a bunch of optimistic fans who still believe that the MacBook Air will continue to be produced simply because the MacBook Air is Apple's answer to an affordable version of the Pro.

Besides, citing the drop in PC sales Apple experienced this year, it makes sense to continue production of a comparatively affordable variation of its model, Ecumenical News reported.

MacBook Pro 2016 - Release Date

The MacBook Pro 2016 release date is rumored to be sometime in the last quarter of this year. Reports from several online tech publications earlier indicated that the MacBook Air 2016 might make an appearance earlier than its Pro equivalent.

MacBook Pro 2016 - Specs

In terms of specs, the MacBook Pro is rumored to pack a SkyLake processor and a retina display.

If these speculations turned to be true, this would be quite an interesting addition to the imminent device. In addition, an OLED bar will be strategically place above the laptop's keyboard, giving users an easy access to their applications. The model will reportedly come in 11-inch and 15-inch versions.

Apple has so far remained mum regarding these speculations and has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors surrounding the release date and specs of the MacBook Pro 2016. Tech enthusiasts are recommended to take these speculations with a grain of salt until Apple confirms or debunks them.
