The game that would bring gamers out of their game den,"Pokémon Go", is finally out and there are few differences on the gameplay compared to previous Pokémon games.

"Pokémon Go"  begins with customizing the Pokémon trainer and setting the name of the user. Then the player would be asked to pick one of the three generation one Pokémon starters, namely, Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle.

There is a hidden way, however to acquire a Pikachu as a starting Pokémon. To catch Pikachu, the player must ignore the initial instruction and let the three generation one Pokémon spawn four or five times. The player should simply walk away and the Pokémon will reappear. After four or five times, the fourth Pokémon, a Pikachu, should appear. The player should then be able to catch it and use it as a Pokémon starter, according to iMore.

After the player acquired the starting Pokémon, exploration would be the next part. "Pokémon Go" allows players to detect nearby Pokémon by tapping on the button at the bottom right corner of the smartphone screen. The footprints below each Pokémon determines its distance from the player. No footprint being the closest and three being the farthest.

Unlike the previous games,in "Pokémon Go", there is no need to battle wild Pokémon in order to catch them. The player needs only to throw the Pokéball at the Pokémon. Throwing mastery is the key in successfully catching a Pokémon.

The Pokémon can be found depending on the geography of the place. For example, water Pokémon are most likely to be found near bodies of water such as rivers and beaches.

The power of each monster is determined by its Command Points. The higher the CP, the stronger they fight.

"Pokémon Go" also features PokeStops that can be found around the neighborhood. These areas give out items and Eggs. They are marked as blue squares in the map.

The Eggs that the players found can be hatched using the incubator. Once the Egg is in the incubator, the player should walk around so it would hatch. The farther the player walks, the rarer the Pokémon will be when it hatches.

Once the trainer reached level five, the player can join a team and battle in gyms and claim one for their team. The players can leave a Pokémon in the gym to defend it or attack another gym and claim it by defending another team's Pokémon. "Pokémon Go" uses points called Prestige and when it drops to zero, the team owning the gym is defeated. The defending Pokémon then returns to the owner with 1 HP left, iDigitalTimes reported.
