Former Google Nexus partner Asus just dropped its triple Android treat called Zenfone 3 series featuring Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Meanwhile, specs and feature leaked through a google photo revealing Google's highly-anticipated flagship smartphone dubbed as Nexus 2016.

A Google Photo hinted that an upcoming feature that will facilitate unlimited original quality photo and video backup for Google Nexus devices. This rumor was lashed out by Zenfone 3 which has proven itself to be better than the LG-made Nexus 5X which indicates that the former could easily overwhelm anything that comes after Nexus 5X. This Asus 5.5-inch Zenfone 3 is a well-balanced mid-range device that flaunts metal and glass for its casing, a classic touch for the overall design, 9to5Googl e cited.

The Zenfone 3 series is intact with an 8-core Snapdragon 625 chip that is tagged on 4GB of RAM, lighting up the 1080p screen with the 16-megapixel rear shooter and 8-megapixel front-facing camera combo, University Herald cited. However, if rumors about Google Nexus proved true, the upcoming version will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 paired with up to 4GB of RAM, much greater than what Asus Zenfone 3 is boasting.

There has been no specific release date for all the Zenfone 3 series smartphone variants but they are likely to arrive earlier than the Google Nexus 2016. Asus has also already revealed the prices for its trifecta, starting at $249 for the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra will spin off at $479 and a relatively affordable $499 for Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Asus premium flagship.
