Motorola is expected to debut its mid-tier Moto X4 Android smartphone on Google's Project Fi. However, Moto X4's new specs have surfaced, and gave tech enthusiasts a new glimpse of the mobile device.

The new leak specs of Motorola's upcoming Android smartphone include Qualcomm's 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 630 chipset along with a 4GB of RAM as well as a 64GB of internal storage, expandable through a microSD card. These new leak specs contradict the previous report that the Moto X4 smartphone will arrive with a Snapdragon 660 processor and a 3800mAh battery. Nonetheless, the new leak revealed a rear dual-camera setup, a 12MP and 8MP lenses, WCCF Tech reported..

The Moto X4 is also expected to be available with a 16MP front snapper. The mobile device could boast a 5.2-inch display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution, a fingerprint sensor in the home button, as well as an IP68 dust and water resistance, Tech Radar reported.

Motorola's mid-range handset will also be the first mobile device outside of Google to have Project Fi. Project Fi is the search engine giant's mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), which is a pay-as-you-go wireless service. Google's MVNO allows the Moto X4 smartphone to effortlessly connect through U.S. Cellular, Sprint and T-Mobile, or even via Wi-Fi hotspots. The MVNO achieves the maximum signal capacity, then transmits it to the customers. Project Fi's pricing starts at $20 per line and additional $10 per data gig.

In terms of the Moto X4 price, the official Twitter account of Project Fi made it known that the upcoming Android smartphone will fall in the price range between $300 to $400. Tech fans and experts are anticipating the Schaumburg, Illinois based tech giant to roll out the mobile device during 2017 holiday shopping season. Aside from the Moto X4, the tech company is expected to roll out five phones in the new Moto series.
