OnePlus 5 owners will be delighted to know that OnePlus company officially announced that its latest smartphone will be getting its very first update. The OnePlus 5 flagship device will soon update to OxygenOS 4.5.2, and the update comes along with bug fixes, camera optimizations, among others.

The software upgrade of the OnePlus 5 smartphone introduces many improvements, including the stability of the system, network, and other connections such as the mobile device's Bluetooth. The OxygenOS 4.5.2 update also brings camera optimizations as well as compatibility with third party apps.

The OxygenOS 4.5.2 version also addresses issues with system update failures and app installations. However, the small size of the patch justifies the fact that the tech giant's latest flagship smartphone arrives with an OxygenOS, which is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, Phone Arena reported.

OnePlus 5's operating system update is now available through an over-the-air program (OTA). The software update might need some time to reach all compatible smartphones.

To check for the software update manually, users must go to the Settings menu, then on System updates. OnePlus 5 users must make sure that the device is connected to a stable Internet connection and will have sufficient battery charge before proceeding with the update.

Meanwhile, as the OnePlus 5 smartphone was unveiled during a keynote presentation last week, the mobile device can be purchased as a SIM-free from the Chinese smartphone maker's official website. The latest smartphone is available in two different models, the Midnight Black 128GB model and the Slate Gray 64GB variant. The Slate Gray 64GB version costs £449, while the Midnight Black variant has a £499 price tag, Express reported.

The Slate Gray version has 6GB of RAM, while the Midnight Black 128GB version is available with an 8GB of RAM. The OnePlus 5 boasts a 5.5inch 1080p AMOLED display and powered by Qualcomm's SnapDragon 835 processor.
