Bellarmine University has announced Sharon Kerrick as the new business school dean. After being without a dean since October, Kerrick will become dean of Bellarmine's W. Fielding Rubel School of Business effective in June 1st.

Bellarmine University is an educational institution which offers various academic courses. In October 2016, Kerrick was named the interim business school dean after Robert Brown stepped down from the position to pursue other business interests.

In summer 2016, Bellarmie hired Kerrick immediately as assistant dean of the business school from her previous employment at the University of Louisville. After finishing her bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Louisville, Kerrick has been teaching at the university since 2002.

Kerrick was the associate director of the Forcht Entrepreneurship Center at U of L. She taught in the entrepreneurship MBA program. She also created and led the university's undergraduate entrepreneurship minor and served as director of the university's Economic Education Center, Biz Journals reported.

Kerrick remodeled Bellarmine's MBA curriculum and focused on enhancing academic offerings and building community relationships. When asked about her new position as dean of the business school, Kerrick said The Rubel School of Business continues to grow in many exciting ways thanks to its students, faculty and staff. She pointed out that innovation was the main theme as she would continue to construct6 this throughout the programs and partnerships.

The Rubel School of Business is also hiring three new faculty members and plan to have a new executive speaker series under Kerrick's leadership. Kerrick plan to appoint Frank Raymond as the school's associate dean. Raymond has taught at Bellarmine since 2000 and was chairman of the department of economics and finance.

Raymond finished his bachelor's degree from Holy Cross College and master's from University of North Carolina in mathematics and doctorate in economics from Indiana University.
